I am amazed and humbled to report to you that every seat for the entire 2014 season, including two extra classes that were added, were completely sold out in the first 30 minutes of opening the sign-up page. I think it is fair to say that we have been discovered and the Pork U staff and I are eagerly anticipating bringing you to new levels of backyard barbecue cookery this season.
If you were unable to get a seat for this year, there is a waiting list. It is under the Pork U tab on the home page. We cannot guarantee you a spot, but cancellations do sometime occur.
We do not send out a confirmation notice of our own when you sign up. You should have gotten a Pay Pal confirmation. We will send out a reminder to you about a week before the class, including directions to the location of the class in West Cobb. We don’t send it out sooner because experience has shown that many of you are like me, that is, you can’t remember anything.
We will follow the same procedure for sign-ups next year. We will post the schedule in February and open the page for sign up on March 1st at noon.
Remember, we also offer a modified, 6 hour corporate class that appeals to companies that wish to offer their employees a social or team building experience that is, in my opinion, a lot more fun than a golf outing. These classes are run during the week from noon to 6 pm. I this interests you, call me personally at the restaurant so that we can discuss the details.
